Zoë plays Charlie Hungerford, the whip-smart mother-in-law of recently widowed detective Jim Bergerac, in this reimagining of the classic 80s drama set in Jersey. Season one and two are streaming on U. Season three filming is underway.

Zoë joins this ITV crime drama as Zelda Radclyffe, the quirky aunt of criminologist Jasper Tempest. Season four aired on PBS in the US in 2025 and comes to the UK on 19 August 2026. Filming has finished on season five; season six is in the pipeline.

Rare chance to hear Such Rotten Luck series two

The first series of Such Rotten Luck made a welcome return to the airwaves earlier this year, and Im pleased to say BBC Radio 4 Extra is now broadcasting the comedy-dramas equally witty second series. As far as I know, this is the first time in five years that series two has been aired.

The opening episode finds Zoës Gila and her husband, struggling writer Woodhouse (played by Tim Pigott-Smith), about to become parents, but the latter's head is still in the clouds. When he gets a call out of the blue, will Gila be able to persuade him not to look a gift horse in the mouth?

You can catch up with the series two opener on BBC Sounds or listen to the repeat on Radio 4 Extra this Saturday, 18 April, at 12:30 pm. The other episodes in this six-part series are set to air on Tuesdays at 9:30 am, with each one being repeated a couple of times (see the schedule for details).
