Zoë plays Charlie Hungerford, the whip-smart mother-in-law of recently widowed detective Jim Bergerac, in this reimagining of the classic 80s drama set in Jersey. Season one is streaming on U; season two arrives on U and U&DRAMA on 16 April.

Zoë has joined the cast of this ITV crime drama as Zelda Radclyffe, the quirky aunt of Cambridge professor Jasper Tempest, who helps the police solve challenging murder cases. Season four aired on PBS in the US in 2025 and comes to the UK in 2026, while filming recently finished on season five.

Filming underway for ITV's Girlfriends, starring Zoë

Filming for ITV's Girlfriends, which stars Zoë, Miranda Richardson and Phyllis Logan as childhood friends facing tough challenges, began last Monday. The six-part drama series is being directed by its writer, Kay Mellor, and will be shot in and around Leeds and York over the summer. It's due to reach our TV screens in 2018.

In the words of ITV Media's synopsis, 'Girlfriends is a contemporary story of Linda, Sue and Gail as they struggle with the responsibilities and inevitable changes that come with being a modern woman of a certain age...' Zoë's character, Gail, certainly has a lot on her plate: she's helping her son, ex-prisoner Tom, get his life back on track while trying to save her marriage to Dave before their divorce is finalised.

Deadline reports that Girlfriends' supporting cast will include Matthew Lewis, who acted alongside Zoë in the first Harry Potter film. As accident-prone boy wizard Neville, he broke his wrist and brought out the normally formidable Madam Hooch's caring side!
