Zoë plays Charlie Hungerford, the whip-smart mother-in-law of recently widowed detective Jim Bergerac, in this reimagining of the classic 80s drama set in Jersey. Season one and two are streaming on U. Season three filming is underway.

Zoë joins this ITV crime drama as Zelda Radclyffe, the quirky aunt of criminologist Jasper Tempest. Season four aired on PBS in the US in 2025 and comes to the UK on 19 August 2026. Filming has finished on season five; season six is in the pipeline.

Yesterday Zoë joined Helen Mirren, Bill Nighy and a host of other well-known theatre industry figures at the New York Theatre Workshop's 2015 Spring Gala, where they celebrated the achievements of hugely successful theatre designer Bob Crowley.

Zoë was photographed at the event, which was held at the elegant Edison Ballroom in New York City, for BroadwayWorld.com, the Telegraph, Playbill and Getty Images.

She looked very chic in a jacket made from fabric inspired by vintage newspapers. It was a highly appropriate choice, given that Crowley designed the memorable set for the National Theatre's 2003 production of fast-paced press-room comedy His Girl Friday, in which Zoë starred as feisty journalist Hildy Johnson.

Please donate to The Esther Benjamins Trust's Nepal Earthquake Appeal, following second earthquake

Following today's terrible news that a second major earthquake has struck Nepal, I wanted to remind Zoë's fans about The Esther Benjamins Trust, a charity supported by Zoë and working in Nepal.

The Esther Benjamins Trust is running a Nepal Earthquake Appeal, for which donations are urgently needed. You can donate to the charity online, by cheque or text to help fund its vital relief work in Nepal which includes supporting children and impoverished families, as well as carrying out search and rescue work.

You can see The Esther Benjamins Trust's work in action in the video above. In addition, a news article from the charity shows its staff in Makwanpur spearheading a relief operation, bringing aid to a remote village.

Photos: Zoë at closing night of Zorba!

Yesterday Zoë and her co-stars in the musical Zorba! gave their closing night performance at New York City Center.

BroadwayWorld.com, TheaterPizzazz.com and Getty Images have great photos from the curtain call and later in the evening.

Everyone certainly looks as if they've had a wonderful time working on the show, which ran from 6-10 May, as the final production in City Center's 2015 Encores! season, celebrating American musicals.

Broadway photos, then and now

Zoë, her fellow cast and crew members, plus special guests are pictured at the first night of City Center's Zorba! revival, which took place on 6 May, in a great series of photos on Broadway.com.

The special guests include Bartlett Sher, who directed one of Zoë's previous Broadway productions, Awake and Sing!, in 2006. He is pictured backstage with Zoë, celebrating the success of Zorba!

In another great Broadway photo, this time from 1981, Zoë poses with her father, Sam Wanamaker, following a benefit performance of Acting Shakespeare. As the photographer, Adrian Bryan-Brown, points out, Zoë was appearing in Piaf at the time her Broadway debut.

Videos: two more songs from Zorba!

Here are two more excellent videos of Zorba! from Broadway.com. In the first Zoë, as Hortense, sings the witty 'No Boom Boom'; in the second, she and co-star John Turturro (Zorba) duet on the humorous and touching 'Goodbye, Cannavaro'.

Tickets for Zorba!, at New York City Center, are available now but hurry! There are only three days left to catch this musical gem!
