Intro
A drama by Peter Flannery, based on the novel by Agatha Christie, and first broadcast in 2008.
Running time: 1 hour and 33 minutes
Overview
At home in Whitehaven Mansions, Hercule Poirot is visited by a troubled young woman, Norma Restarick. She confesses that she could be a murderer, but is too distressed to provide more details about her supposed crime, leaving as suddenly as she arrived.
Crimewriter Ariadne Oliver had suggested that Norma, her neighbour, speak to the veteran detective about the terrible mystery. When Poirot describes the encounter to his friend at her flat, both are puzzled. Who might Norma have murdered? Has she imagined the crime?
Before either can reach any firm conclusions, the police arrive to investigate the death of one of Norma's other neighbours. Poirot must discover whether the young woman's story could be true, after all.
