Agatha Christie's Poirot - 'Hallowe'en Party' (2010)

Intro

A drama by Mark Gatiss, based on the novel by Agatha Christie, and first broadcast in 2010.

Overview

Crimewriter Ariadne Oliver is invited to a children's Hallowe'en party with her new friend, Judith.  Amid the fancy dress and party games, one of the children, Joyce, makes a startling revelation.  She boasts of having witnessed a murder several years ago, when she was very young.  The other guests dismiss the girl's claim outright, but Ariadne seems unnerved by it.  Some time later, as the party draws to a close, Joyce is discovered drowned.  Horrified by the evening's events, Ariadne calls on her friend and private detective, Hercule Poirot, for help.
