Overview
Among the events at the 2006 Henley Festival, a glamorous celebration of the arts, was The Food of Love. The concert was billed as 'a musical Shakespeare evening', with its title taken from the opening of Twelfth Night: 'If music be the food of love, play on'. 'The Food of Love' was hosted by Zoe Wanamaker and Robert Lindsay; music from Nigel Hess, Henry Purcell, Stephen Warbeck, and Ralph Vaughan Williams was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Notes
Shortly before taking part in a similar concert - The Truth About Love in 2008 - Zoe recalled the 'great fun' she had enjoyed at The Food of Love (see 'The Guest List' interview).
