Sam Wanamaker Playhouse:
You can donate to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, and find out more about this recreation of an indoor Jacobean theatre, on the Shakespeare's Globe website. ZoŽ, who is Honorary President of the Globe, talks about the history and significance of the project in a video by the theatre.

Current and upcoming projects:
  • Girlfriends (starts 3 January, 9pm, ITV1; also being streamed from 29 January on Acorn TV): ZoŽ stars as Gail, part of a trio of childhood friends rocked by tragedy in this six-part drama series.
  • The Birthday Party (9 January-14 April at the Harold Pinter Theatre, London): ZoŽ stars as Meg, who runs a seaside boarding house, in this West End revival of Pinter's dark, classic play.
  • Britannia (All episodes to be released on 18 January on Sky Atlantic and Now TV; also coming to Amazon Prime Video): ZoŽ stars as Queen Antedia, a key figure in the Celtic resistance movement, in this epic, nine-part historical drama series about the Roman invasion of ancient Britain.
  • Inside Number 9 (2018, BBC2): ZoŽ guest stars in an episode from this cult comedy-drama's fourth series.

ZoŽ in conversation with Aled Jones on BBC Radio Wales, plus Essential Classics photos

31 May 2017 19:27

What a busy, brilliant week for radio interviews!

ZoŽ will join singer and presenter Aled Jones on BBC Radio Wales on 4 June at 1:05pm for conversation and music. (You may remember Jones hosted last year's Children & The Arts' Christmas Concert, at which ZoŽ gave a reading.) Even if you don't live in Wales, you can listen online or catch up later via the podcast or iPlayer.

In addition, there are two more editions of BBC Radio 3's Essential Classics, featuring ZoŽ as the special guest, to look forward to. You can hear her interviews on 1 and 2 June at 10am. The three previous editions are currently available on the iPlayer, while the BBC has released some lovely photos of ZoŽ at the recording session, as well as a couple of great clips.

You're sure to enjoy Essential Classics even if (like me) you're not particularly knowledgeable about history's great composers. The conversation between ZoŽ and the presenter, Sarah Walker, flows naturally and is full of insights, while ZoŽ's chosen pieces of classical music are diverse and inspiring.

Huge thanks to Janet for her help
