Overview

My Week with Marilyn draws on the experiences of Colin Clark, one of Laurence Olivier's assistants on 1950s film The Prince and the Showgirl

During filming in the UK, the 23-year-old Clark becomes fascinated by Olivier's co-star, screen siren Marilyn Monroe.  She has recently married Arthur Miller and is improving her acting under the influence of Paula Strasberg, whose presence on-set leads to tension among cast and crew.

Clark enjoys spending time with Monroe, away from the cameras, as he gets to know the woman behind the screen persona.
